Fabulous Vest Patterns for This Spring…..continued

Back by popular demand, here are more vest patterns selected especially for you.

By Tina Whitmore

This quick knit vest pattern is worked in the round. You will need to choose different yarn balls for this vest project. Alter the yarn ball colours to extend the gradient through one full transition from the top to the bottom ribbed edge. Why not try this design by Tina Whitmore for a quick and fun project. After all this may lead onto further gradient inspired designs.

This fabulous and classic vest pattern is by Kristin Hansenwith. It is knitted with fine alpaca-bamboo yarn. The yarn gives drape and sheen to this classic men’s vest. The piece is knit in the round to the armholes with a smart V-neck.

Snow flurry is a little vest for children. It does not take a lot of time to make but gives a whole lot of knitting joy. The vest features stranded knitting which can be a very good exercise before starting bigger projects. It is knit in the round, therefore the stranded knitting will be done only knitwise. The finishing will be very quick because there are no seams. Only the shoulders will be grafted together using kitchener stitch. The pattern includes written instructions and a chart as well as an outline for size. Snow flurry is available in three children’s sizes: 3 to 4 years, 5 to 6 years and 7 to 8 years.

The Corrugated vest has lovely details that are interesting to knit. A classic vest pattern worked flat,  Multi-colour ribbing, neckbands, and armholes make the Corrugated vest a stand-out among men’s knits. Why not consider this classic pattern for your next project.

This wool vest has a shaped waist and a scoop neck. It is worked flat from the bottom up in two colours. The shoulders have slightly more width than a normal vest giving a more flattering style than a narrow strap. The stripey back, contrasting rib edgings are picked up and knit flat. The tree embroidery is worked entirely in chain stitch on the completed vest giving nice relief effect. In addition it looks fabulous accompanied with a shoulder bag.

Finally, a beautiful and light to wear vest by Irina Poludnenko. For beginners this could be a good place to start because the skill level for this vest pattern is easy. Suggested yarn is Tahki Yarns Maya. The yarn weight is super bulky therefore creating a fabulous textured style.

We hope you have enjoyed this second addition to our fabulous vest pattern blog and above all inspired you to get started on your next project.
